Your privacy on Pataglow
Pataglow is designed to help people discover products without requiring an account. When you choose to sign in, we collect only the information needed to provide account features and improve the catalogue.
Information used for sign-in
Google provides your verified email address, name, profile image and a stable account identifier. Pataglow does not receive your Google password. This information is used to create your account, keep you signed in and show your account details.
Private shopper preferences
If you choose to set them, Pataglow stores your broad product areas, public PataGlow Needs and shopping county. These preferences are private, optional and editable. They are not currently used to change catalogue rankings, and they are not shown to brands.
Saved products and Glowboards
Guest saves are stored on your device. After sign-in, saved products can be synced to your account. Glowboards are private, account-owned collections. Pataglow does not make them public or give brands access to an individual shopper’s collections.
Aggregate product and onboarding analytics
Pataglow counts selected catalogue interactions and onboarding progress in aggregate to understand whether the product is useful. Onboarding reports do not store your user ID, selected preferences, browsing history or visited URLs. Future brand reporting should remain aggregate and must not expose individual shopper preferences.
Why this information is collected
- Identity data supports secure account access.
- Preferences keep your explicit choices available for future discovery improvements.
- Saved items and Glowboards provide private continuity across visits.
- Aggregate analytics help identify product problems and improve completion journeys.
Account support, access and deletion
Authorised PataGlow administrators can access account identity and limited account summaries to provide support. They can correct a shopper display name or county, without changing Google identity or other preferences. Support changes are recorded using account identifiers, action types and the administrator identity, not copies of private collection contents or preference values.
Until self-service account deletion is available, use the contact page to request access to or deletion of your account data. Deleting a shopper account removes its signed-in sessions, saved products, Glowboards and preferences. Anonymous aggregate analytics remain. Signing in with Google later can create a fresh account. PataGlow does not sell individual shopper preferences.
Cosmetic and medical boundaries
Pataglow provides product discovery information, not medical diagnosis or treatment. Product claims and suitability should be confirmed with the seller, and health concerns should be discussed with a qualified professional.
